Triangle Piercing

Triangle Piercing

The triangle is a piercing passing beneath the clitoral shaft. It is thought that it was first done by Lou Duff of Gauntlet in 1991, even though it is likely that it was performed without recognition at some particular point before that and never documented. The piercing is so named as the tissue at the point at which the inner labia and hood meet feels like a triangle when pinched.

Triangle Piercing information

It should be indicated that the Triangle Piercing does not basically pass under the clitoral depth-wise, but re being nearer to the vagina ( ie. "below" the shaft would be a deep hood, which some girls not suited anatomically for a triangle get ). Many girls hold the triangle to be the final word in female piercings.

It's a ring ( or infrequently barbell ) passing beneath the clitoral shaft, in principle offering kick not possible either by hand or with other piercings. Some women have experienced desensitization over time, but this is rare. Triangle Piercing is anatomy-dependant and needs a professional piercer incidentally intersecting the clitoral shaft when piercing is at a minimum extraordinarily distressing, and could do damage to nerve structures in the area!

It must be mentioned that while triangles have a tendency to heal well, like many genital piercings they may bleed off and on for 1 or 2 days.

"Women with a narrow pubic area and / or big outer labia or whose thighs compress the pubic area could find this piercing uncomfortable as the ring will tend to turn. In this situation, a symmetrical teardrop formed ring is frequently more appropriate than a round ring. The angled shape of the ring inhibits it from becoming caught between the outer labia and painfully twisted and pulled which may cause the piercing to migrate or tear during healing.

Triangle Piercing gauge

Most often used dimensions are half of inch wide x 5/ 8" long. Wearing a thicker gauge will also decrease the risk of migration or ripping of Triangle Piercing due to twisting of the jewelry.
