Vertical Lobe Piercing
A vertical lobe piercing is simply that ; a piercing, customarily employing a straight barbell, travelling from the apex of the lobe ( ie. The anti-tragus ) down and exiting at the base of the lobe.
It is largely a cross lobe piercing turned 90.
Vertical Lobe Piercing Process
A vertical lobe is a tolerably tough piercing to have done. After exit and entry points have been marked, and the ear correctly cleaned, the lobes and anti-tragus are clamped. The needle is then slid thru, and jewellery inserted. Particular care must be brought to avoid piercing either too shallow or too deep into the lobe. If the needle goes thru the lobe too near to the outer side, the jewellery can reject towards the outer side, while refusal can occur also if the the jewellery passes thru the lobe too near to the head. Healing very like cartilage piercings, this takes a few ( six or more ) months to cure, reliant on the piercee's body, and their commitment to cleaning it. For a minimum of a couple of days, there's a good likelihood of bruising.
Vertical Lobe Piercing aftercare
Sea salt soaks, and hot compresses are basically critical for correct healing, to help drainage. Otherwise, because of the length of the piercing, drainage will become blocked up, and a pustule can form. Most piercers perform this piercing employing a receiving tube placed under the hood, into that the needle is pushed from the head of the hood itself. The piercing heals extremely quickly and is trouble-free, presuming the girl's anatomy permits it. Some girls with intolerably tight hoods would possibly not be ready to get this piercing. As a rule, if a q-tip fits under your hood, you can get Vertical Lobe Piercing ( "The Q-tip Test" ).
